Who doesn’t love a party. Any reason to give a party and I am all for it! Why not throw a housewarming. Whether it is yours or for a friend you can have plenty of fun and get a few nice gifts, too 
. The key to remember when throwing your housewarming is to keep it casual and comfortable.
Start sending out invites a week or so before the planned event and remember to invite some new neighbors. It’s always a good thing to stay in good with neighbors, so make friends early on. When planning the event you can have it as a potluck, just drinks, or a barbecue. I like to have a casual potluck dinner with games and entertainment. You can also have it as an open house, where you take attendees on a tour of the new home.
Housewarming’s are generally thrown once you are completely moved in or within the first 2 months of moving in. You can have one for a new move, a renovation or a remodel. Really, any acceptable reason to throw a housewarming you can think of is fine!
