Superhero Fashion

Posted by kilohana under I notice, fashion, fashion trends, shopping

image Capes, masks, super prints and bionic shoes are at last becoming a fashion trend. Sure you won’t be caught dead wearing the pictured outfit out about town (or will you), but what about a cute ensemble that has those same colors and the big cuffs. Yeah, you’d be in it and looking FIERCE!

New structures and new bold colors are now gracing the fashion runways. So, my question is "What’s your Super Personality?" Will you be the villain or the superhero? Seems like they are equally matched in the style and cost department. Check out some of the fashions that showed at the The Metropolitan Museum of Art:

Organize your Life

Posted by kilohana under Good Buys, I notice, cool tips, shopping

I usually keep all my papers and important information in a large file box, which was in serious need of organizing. I had gotten so bad with "the box" that we had started simply throwing anything we thought relevant into it. A horrible way of organizing and keeping up with important papers and information. Then I found Life.doc…..

Spanx

Posted by kilohana under I notice, cool tips, fashion, fashion trends, shopping

image We love clothes, fashion and anything that makes us look gorgeous and feminine. But you hardly find anything said about what lies under those beautiful clothes and accessories. For many informed women, they are hiding a little secret. The secret is Spanx and the secret is out! The incredibly form squeezing treasures will suck you in and lift you up like no other you’ve seen. Created by Sarah Blakely, this line of power panties, bras, and a whole slew of other items are showing up, make that showing under, on celebrity women everywhere.

Spanx is the girdle of the future, now! This popular body shaper is an addiction that most women will never part ways with. Imagine putting on a Spanx and looking anywhere from 2-10 lbs lighter…..and that’s without breaking a sweat.  Well, except for the wiggling you will do to get into these babies…and I do mean a wiggle! They can be worn under the tightest of clothes and never show panty line. They fit super snug but not uncomfortable. Once you have them on, you look slim, trim and amazing. They look like footless pantyhose that come right above your knee. If the bottoms aren’t addictive enough, they also have Spanx Bras, fittingly named Bra-llelujah. The bras hide that unsightly fat and bulges that show around because of your bra. Check them out and see what all the raving is about.  My personal favorite is the Hide & Sleek Cami! Spanx, making every woman feel and look beautiful, one panty at a time!!Winking

Wii for the PC!

Posted by kilohana under I notice, shopping

Now, I usually don’t cover electronic or gadget products. But this one is super cool and worthy of writing about. This makes it possible to connect to a Wii like game using anything you have laying around. All you need is a PC and a webcam. Then you simply grab an item (pencil, paper cup, your fingers, really anything), lock and load it, and you are ready to go. You are ready to play!!! Hard to believe, I know!! Learn more and find out how to get it working on your PC at this great tech site.

I am sure parents and kids everywhere will want to know more about this. Having a Wii without paying for it, what more could you ask for? I love technology, thanks Carver Labs for this cool blog!! Make sure to watch the video of how it works…pretty impressive.

The word Swimsuit, can bring a slight cringe to even the most confident of women. There is so much preparation to go through to look your best. We have to find the right suit (one to hide our flaws), be in our best shape, tanned, and properly groomed. For the few, the brave, I like to call the "Swimwear Strutters"…..they have no fear. They will show it all and love it, taking no prisoners to their extreme skin fest. Here are some suits, that only the fiercest most confident may want to attempt:

When is short too short?

Posted by kilohana under I notice, fashion

In today’s society we have clothing that has been becoming more and more skimpy. From daisy dukes to thongs showing, girls are becoming bolder and bolder. What happened to the day of knee length dresses and a hint of cleavage. Maybe I was born in the wrong era. The girl’s attire I see just walking through the mall is becoming horrifying. When did it become ok to show all your cleavage and wear skirts tight enough to know what type of underwear you are wearing? And when did short shorts and mid-drifts become the face of fashion?

How far will the outfits go before we are forced to change….literally!!!

Liars

Posted by kilohana under I notice, Relationships, cool tips

liar I can’t even count on my hands and feet how many times I wished I could read someone’s mind. Sometimes, I wish life was like the movies where you could just look at someone and hear their thoughts, then again they would probably be reading mine too, so never mind on that. But, seriously, how many times have you told someone just what they wanted to hear….I know I have many many times…better to lie than hurt someone’s feelings. Just like some times call for a lie to be nice, other times there is no excuse to lie. These are the times you may need to become more aware of the situation and the person.      By just paying attention, you can notice some things that will key you in on a lie. When someone is guilty they may:

  • become very defensive
  • body language - not looking you in the eye, being fidgety, acting nervous or uncomfortable, arms or legs will face the exits, looking up to the right
  • Mistaken memories - stories/events constantly change
  • Projected feelings - telling you you are lying
  • Touches the face - touches the cheek, mouth or nose
  • Rise in voice pitch
  • Pause in speaking - needing time to think before answering

Remember that the person’s normal behavior has to be taken into consideration. If the person is an awkward, fidgety, uncomfortable person normally, then this definitely won’t work for them. This is more for the cool, calm collective people. Any noticeable change in behavior can clue you in that something is going on. Pay attention and be alert to what is said and done and you may start noticing things….

backwards In an earlier post, I hinted at the fact that this shoe, currently by Marc Jacobs is the next big thing. Well it officially came out on runways in the NY Fashion Week in 2007 right before Winter. The only thing forward about these shoes is the fact that they are "fashion forward" right now. I wonder what everyone was thinking at that fashion show. I think "Stunned" could sum it up in one word. The shoes measuring in at 4 inches high, although quite pretty, can be nothing but horrific to walk in. Imagine wearing shoes, let me correct that HEELS, that you can never apply weight to the back of the shoe or you will come tumbling down. Perfect for Ballet Dancers maybe not so much the rest of us, you surely will perfect walking on your toes wearing these.

One positive I can think of is, it has to be one heck of  a workout for your calves. Imagine a High Heel Shoe minus the heel, it’s ridiculous, yet, oh so sexy! They seem to be slowly trickling into the mainstream and we are sure to see more and more celebrities wearing them. These are sure to be a HUGE hit fast, in the lime light fashion is everything.

heel

Would you trade being able to stay upright with wearing gorgeous "fashionable" shoes? What can they possible think of next, no heels at all??
